Moss just being herself
Moss just being herself

Here in the UK, the exam season is upon us.  In our family it’s GCSEs for the teenager, which is proving fairly grim.   Few of us relish being tested, so best not take it too personally, it could feel a bit like a dark cloud hanging overhead.

My feeling is that dogs are rather good at dealing with exams, they provide the perfect antidote.

Whatever the exam timetable says, we still have to look after Moss properly.  Our dogs still make their demands, for exercise, food and love.

This morning Moss got up onto the sofa with the teenager, and just lay quietly next to her.  In those few moments of gentle attention Moss probably helped calm the teenager down way more than I could with any words.

I think it’s the fact that dogs are intuitive that makes all the difference.

They don’t ask annoying things like

“How did your maths paper go; did you answer all the questions?”

No, they just snuggle up, put their head on your knee and love you no matter what.
