Merry Christmas

For me, Christmas is the full stop at the end of the sentence. Does that mean that the time between Christmas and New Year, is the space between one sentence ending and another beginning?
For me, yes, I think it is.
First, we have Advent; which I feel offers the perfect opportunity to get in touch, particularly with those who we don’t usually see.
Writing just-walking-the-dog gives me the chance to be in touch with you regularly. I love to have something to share with you, which I hope you enjoy?
Each time I go out walking with Moss, I see it as an opportunity to observe what’s going on, and hopefully spot something new to write about.
This morning, as I walked with Moss towards the Doctor’s surgery to drop off a repeat prescription, a great big Mercedes drew up beside me, and the window opened. Inside Fraze and Laura sat looking pale and tired. Their beloved Cooper, a majestic German Sheppard, had died recently, and they wanted to share their sad news with me.
I feel honoured.
With the price of a first-class stamp at £1.70, my guess is that most of us will receive far fewer Christmas cards this year.
So, please, use your imagination here, and look on this as a beautiful festive Christmas card to hang over your fireplace and admire as you warm your toes and sip a glass of something delicious …
I’m looking forward to a seasonal break from just-walking-the-dog, and hoping that the New Year will bring plenty of new sentences.
From Moss and me, be kind to yourself, and interpret the opportunity that Christmas offers in a way that feels right to you.
Merry Christmas with love from,
AJK & Moss
