A change of plan ...

My thanks go to the team at Colne Radio especially Martin Newell

I was about to send you an article on, well you’ll have to wait until next week to find out what, then suddenly this morning I thought to myself - no a change of plan!

On Wednesday 27^th May at midday justwalkingthedog was launched on Colne Radio 106.6FM as a radio programme.  The poet, writer and musician Martin Newell has been working with me to make jwtd into a radio programme and here we go!

I’m extremely grateful to be offered the opportunity to learn about broadcasting.  Radio is probably my favourite medium, so to have my own radio programme is beyond thrilling!

Community radio has a place in my heart.

The programme is going to be played twice a week on Wednesdays at midday and again on Saturdays 11.30am.  I’d love it if you would tune in and give us the thumbs up.

It’s great to hear jwtd as an audio piece.

In further good news, tomorrow Saturday 30^th May there’s going to be an article about me and justwalkingthedog in the East Anglian Daily Times.  It’s written by Martin Newell (who is also a columnist) and it’s about making a radio programme and community radio.

I really want you, dear subscriber, to be the first to know about it.

I also want to say a heartfelt thanks to Peter Kennedy, Chas Crocker & Chris Drake.

The more I write this column/blog/radio programme the more convinced I am that the relationship between humans and dogs is remarkably significant. 

I haven’t got to the bottom of it yet, so the enquiry goes on. 

This radio programme is another step in the right direction.
